This means that Sky+ provides the benefits of digital satellite,
plus the ability to record one digital satellite programme while
watching another, pause live TV and record episodes of your favourite
series all without the need for video tapes. Sky+ pushes
the boundaries of personal TV with its power and simplicity.
How does Sky+ work?
Sky+ uses a hard disk to record programmes with
the same digital quality as live viewing.
It has two digital satellite tuners so you can record one digital
satellite programme while watching another. All features are accessed
through the acclaimed Sky Guide that Sky digital customers are already
familiar with, making it incredibly easy to use.
Sky+ is fully integrated with Sky Guide which means it copes with
time changes in programme schedules. And, new features will continue
to be added automatically over time.
Sky+ will transform television. It offers a new level of choice
and control, giving viewers more power than ever before to choose
what they want to watch and when they want to watch it.
What does Sky+ cost?
To use Sky+ you will need a Sky+ subscription which will cost
£15 per month.
You will need to connect your Sky+ box to a minidish. Under the
Sky+ subscription you must keep Sky+ connected to a fixed and operational
phone line for at least twelve months.
You will need Sky+ professionally installed even if you already
have a minidish.
Standard installation costs £50 for Sky digital subscribers
(£100 for non-subscribers).
You don't have to subscribe to Sky digital to benefit from Sky+
but to make the most of it, Sky recommends viewers take out one
of the many Sky digital subscription packages available.
Easy
