Company History
Campbell & Kennedy was first established in 1953 by Tom Kennedy and Robert Campbell the company was initially set up to
carry out domestic TV and Radio works. The company developed in the sixties and business took off with the storms of 1968
and never looked back.
The present Directors are Gerry Kennedy and Joe Kennedy but Tom Kennedy still operates as a consultant
to the business.
Gerry Kennedy is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor who joined Joe as a partner when Tom Kennedy retired back in 1990.
Gerry is now the firms Managing Director an in charge of a Contract Procurement together with Sales and Marketing. Gerry is also
responsible for office administration and business planning and strategy. Joe has learned the trade thoroughly since joining the
company in the late seventies and co-ordinates the labour force and ensures that the current fleet of 24 vans and over 50 engineers
and staff run efficiently and smoothly. Joe prefers a "hands on" approach and will often give practical assistance to engineers in
the more complex contracts when required.
Stuart Leggat joined the company in October 2002 as senior contracts/ corporate services
manager and now runs the firms fast developing IRS systems design and installation division. Stuart has experience of large system
planning and is backed by Paul Kilgallon who also joined the company in October 2002. Paul is a senior engineer and will oversee day
to day site project operations.
The combination of Joe's solid practical experience of the industry and Stuart's technical background,
together with Gerry's professional background makes a formidable team, which will see the company drive towards a successful future in
an ever-changing market.
Over the last five years turnover and profitability has steadily increased and the company is committed to a
controlled expansion program developing new areas of expertise and sustained growth.
